Empowering Instagrams. Feel good women

Charli Howard

I discovered Charli through a youtube video, 'Her modeling agency dumped her, so she dumped the truth on them'. She took part in this beautiful filming project by Style like U, where women talk about their bodies and their relationship to it. If you haven't seen of it, I highly recommend you have a look. It is thoughful, beautiful, intimate and portraying the essence of being to it's finest.

After watching her video, I followed her on instagram and didn't stop since. She is a vibrant human. Committed to her message, she continuously share her thoughts about body image, representation in fashion, and the fondamental right of eating pizza guiltlessly (which, I'm sure we can all agree with).

Humor is always a sharp weapon against destructive mindset. Charli's catchy posts are refreshing in an industry and society who blindlessly deny the variety of human bodies. Watching her grow on the internet is a delight.

She definetely has a positive impact on my personnal body image. The war with my body is behind me and there's no reason for it to come back. Reading her posts, I keep questioning the absurdity of the skinny-white-18yearsold monopoly.

Not only is she a brilliant model, she is the co-founder of @allwomanproject An instagram account and also spirit of life which promotes beauty of all shapes, colour and age.

They are sharing life changing message, for this generation and the ones to come.
This discussion needs to be continued... It has yet only started, and I'm glad it has such smart and creative ambassadors.

*Charli Howard is now represented by Muse Agency. She may not be the usual "curvy model" but she said that companies did not want to work with her because she was either too skinny or too curvy. The industry needs to welcome all sorts of bodies:

Small, Medium and Large ones.
